Gainesville Harvest

Feeding The Hungry... You Can Too.

Last year we served almost 5 million meals.  Consider donating some of your time or resources so that we can continue our efforts.  Together we can relieve hunger! Gainesville Harvest is also a sound ecological investment because the amount of food entering the waste system is dramatically reduced!

BECOME A DONOR TODAY... HERE'S HOW IT WORKS

A donor with surplus food calls Gainesville Harvest.  One of our coordinators takes the call, then schedules a volunteer to pick up fresh food and deliver it to a local agency site and distribution sites. This efficient network assures that the surplus food is collected on a daily basis and served to the hungry of Gainesville and surrounding areas.

The process is simple, easy and rewarding!

Welcome

Mission

Gainesville Harvest provides an innovative solution that gives food companies a convenient, reliable and safe way to channel surplus food to hungry people.

Food producers and retailers give us unmarketable yet wholesome food that would otherwise end up in crowded landfills.  Gainesville Harvest then distributes this food through a network of more than 40 member agencies throughout Alachua County.

Yes, we can feed the hungry of Alachua County...with your help.
